He leads the Council of Ambassadors which is comprised of executives and philanthropic leaders that are passionate about the fight against cancer and dedicated to the success of the 2017 Discovery Ball.
The Discovery Ball is a formal cocktail attire gala benefitting the mission of the American Cancer Society. It has raised nearly $2 million in seven years and continues to be a one-of-a-kind function featuring amazing auctions, elegant dinner, and fantastic entertainment.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 25 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s to 2014. That means that we helped avoid about 2.1 million cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. Now that’s a reason to party, so join us!
We hope to see you there!
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
